Welcome to My Blog!

If you're reading this, that means I must know you and feel safe sharing my thoughts and feelings with you. That also means it's likely you'll experience some uncomfortable and generally gross topics, along the way. With that being said, you'll also hear of experiences that changed the way I see humanity (in a good way) and stories of sheer grit and determination to complete the ride of a lifetime. So, buckle up! It's one helluva ride!

About me

My name is Sarah and I just turned 35. That's probably not integral to the story, but I like mentioning it, nonetheless. I didn't really learn how to ride a bike until I met my husband, Johnny, when I was 21. Even after learning how to ride a bike, it wasn't something that "came natural" to me or even something I really enjoyed. However, since my partner worked in the cycling industry and most of our friends were cyclists, it only seemed natural for me to own a bike, too. (Notice I didn't mention how RIDING was natural for me) Despite many attempts to engage me in cycling, I was never more interested, than when we moved to Tucson. About a year and a half after moving to Tucson, we went fully car free. To a lot of people reading this, I may sound like a glutton for punishment; but in reality, I just really love a challenge and as it turns out, I just really love riding bikes! So, what can you expect from this blog: a day to day look back at my experiences on the Women's Komoot Rally, as well as how my life has changed since being back in Tucson. I also hope to excite and inspire at least ONE person reading this to ride a bike and explore bikepacking in Southern AZ. With so many resources at our fingertips, we have the freedom to access public land and get just about anywhere we set our minds to.
